Harley D. Rinerson earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Dakota followed with a Masters of Military Arts and Science from the United States Army Command & General Staff College, and a Master of Business Administration from Colorado State University. He served as an active duty Army officer for twenty-two years, as well as working for the Governor of the State of Colorado as his Chief Information Security Officer. Prior to joining the Department of Homeland Security, he worked as the Director of Compliance for the Denver International Airport.
Cyberspace and its underlying infrastructure are vulnerable to a wide range of risk stemming from both physical and cyber threats and hazards. Sophisticated cyber actors and nation-states exploit vulnerabilities to steal information and money and are developing capabilities to disrupt, destroy, or threaten the delivery of essential services.
With our increasing reliance in an interconnected world on cyber security the Department of Homeland Security is providing cyber security services to the Nations Critical Infrastructure and Key Resources (CIKR) and State, Local, Territorial, and Tribal (SLTT) governments.
This briefing outlines a number of these services available to the CIKR and SLTT organizations.
